Immersed in an enchanting scenery, rich in vegetation and history, the Arechi Castle is located on the heights of Mount Bonadies. From its terraces it is possible to admire the city of Salerno, on the right the beautiful Amalfi Coast and on the left Punta Licosa.
The Castle was built on a pre-existing structure by the Lombard Prince Arechi II, who transferred the capital of the Duchy from Benevento to Salerno. It was an important stronghold for the successive dominations of the Normans and the Aragonese. With the change of war techniques this fortress lost its original function and it was almost completely abandoned in the XIX century.
After extensive restoration work, the Castle was opened to the public and today in addition to an exhibition hall and the museum, on the inside it features a large hall equipped with the most modern audio and video equipment and wi-fi connection. Ideal for hosting meetings, conferences, conventions, conferences and training courses. It has a capacity of 150 seats.
