The Church of Saint Mary of Lama, built around the XI century as a chapel of a Lombard family, is one of the oldest monuments in the city. Its original structure, with a square plan and orientation towards the North, was subsequently incorporated into what currently is the crypt of the Church. The upper part, built later, has a longitudinal plan divided into 3 naves.
