[cml_media_alt id='20']Area Archeologica di Fratte[/cml_media_alt]Despite the intense excavation activity, it is not yet possible to clearly define which and how many populations left signs of their presence in this area. As can be seen from the documentation preserved in the Museum of Salerno, the site certainly presents the remains of a centre inhabited by Etruscans, Greeks and indigenous people dating back to the VI century BC. The excavations have also brought to light the remains of a previous necropolis to be attributed to the Samnite era.
