This beautiful theatre opened in 1872 with “Rigoletto” and during the years has played host to the very first performances of internationally acclaimed artists like Enrico Caruso,Titta Ruffo,Gino Bechi and Italo Taio. 1980 the theatre suffered major damages through an earthquake, and only in 1994 reopened after 14-year-long restoration and repair works. This theatre boasts one of the few example of perfectly preserved wooden structure and can accomodate up to 800 guests.
